If you’ve ever seen video clips on the internet where someone dies in a crazy accident—like a TV falling on someone, or a body getting stuck in an elevator and split in two—chances are that it was a scene from the Final Destination series.
And now, 14 years later, the new movie in the Final Destination franchise, “Final Destination: Bloodlines”, has been released in India. And brother, you’ll be in splits after watching it… for at least 3 days for sure!
Movie craze and theatre experience
First day first show at 12 am… and that too housefull! People are crazy about this franchise. And why not? There is no overdose drama here, nor any philosophy – only brutal deaths, which make the body go numb.
After watching the Hindi dubbed version, it seemed that language does not matter for this movie. Its suspense, shock value and plot are such that anyone wants to see it with their own eyes.
Theme of the movie: It is not possible to win over death
The soul of Final Destination movies is their concept—a person gets a vision of a big accident, he saves some people from that death, but then “Death” finds and kills them all one by one. That too through such accidents which look ordinary but kill very brutally.
The story of Bloodlines also follows the same concept. The only difference is that this time Death is after those people who are the next generation of those who were saved earlier. That is, those who were not destined to be born, have been born—now Death has come back to create balance.

Brutal scenes and reactions
In this movie, a man gets stuck in a lift—and then the way his body is cut into two parts, OMG! There are screams, not whistles, in the theatre. And this is the main appeal of this movie. If you have come to watch this, you want thrill, if you don’t get a heart attack, then understand that you did not enjoy it.
The movie hits on shock value—and that too many times. “Oh brother!” reactions automatically came out of your mouth three-four times. And yes, the CGI is not perfect, but it is not so bad that it spoils the fun.
Personal Connection: So Close to Death?
When you come out after watching this movie, the same thoughts keep running in your mind – “If I had swallowed the stapler pin lying in the Bhel Puri that day…”, “If that Pani Puri had got stuck in my throat…”, “If that truck tyre had slipped on the road…” i.e. every small mistake starts to seem fatal.
What is new in this part?
- The secondary plot involves a storyline about a coin, which feels a little different.
- Death is portrayed as an “entity”—an invisible force that is everywhere.
- The tone of the film is a little more sinister and grounded.
Want to take the kids? Think twice
This is an A rated movie, keep children away. I saw some parents bringing their young children along… Bhaisaab, some scenes in the movie may be very tough even for 18+ people.

Does this franchise still work?
Absolutely! Final Destination: Bloodlines delivers everything that is expected from this series—mind-numbing accidents, suspense, thrills and that strange fear that won’t let you live in peace even after returning home.
What are the drawbacks?
- Some scenes seem predictable, as the pattern of the franchise is now familiar.
- The CGI could have been better.
- There is very little new, but what is old is also so powerful that it does not let one get bored.
My rating: 3.5/5
If you are fond of watching brutal accidents, if you enjoy thrills, if the orgy of death entertains you along with scaring you, then definitely watch Final Destination 6: Bloodlines.
