War 2 is no ordinary sequel. It is the next weapon in the YRF Spy Universe.
The universe that gave us super agents like Pathaan and Tiger, now marks the entry of two giants –
Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.
And brother, believe me, NTR did not make us feel any less than Hrithik even for a second in the teaser.
First glimpse of the characters
Hrithik aka Kabir — is back in his old style…
That slow-mo walk, the wolf-like entry amidst flames, and the chocolatey body… Bhai Wow!
And on the other hand, NTR — whose Hindi is quite clean this time. His dialogues echo throughout the teaser.
Looks like his role in the film will be that of a grey-shaded villain –
Maybe a character that later becomes an anti-hero!
Director Ayan Mukherjee’s new focus
Now here comes the real twist – War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji!
The man who created the visual magic of Brahmastra is now bringing his own twist to the spy universe.
Siddharth Anand had a different style – high octane, stylish action.
Now Ayan has brought a cinematic and slightly mythical feel –
in which storytelling and vision go hand in hand.
And this is what will make War 2 different from other spy films.
Teaser Highlights – Mass + Class
Hrithik’s WOLF mode entry shot 🔥
- NTR’s jumping shot on the train – VFX was a little loose but had impact
- Kiara Advani’s quick glimpse – Chemistry is building
- Background Score – full adrenaline!”
Fun Fact:
Looking at NTR’s dialogue and his body language in the teaser, it seems certain –
This clash will not just be about action, it will also be about ideologies.
Birthday Surprise + Pan-India Strategy
The teaser has been released on Jr. NTR’s birthday – and what can be a bigger gift than this?
Now imagine – when a South superstar clashes with a Bollywood superhero –
Then the Pan India fire is justified!
The South’s audience, the North’s masses – all together will make this film a blockbuster!
A little technical thing
In some scenes the VFX are a bit shaky –
like the train sequence, it was a bit more cinematic but missed the realism.
Brother either do it real, or do it with VFX, it should look convincing.
But still, the overall vibe of the teaser is awesome!
Release Date Strategy
The film is releasing on 14th August this year –
meaning it will release on Thursday, the next day is 15th August holiday,
then weekend – that means a 4 day box office riot for sure!
And brother, whatever first day records are to be made – War 2 will make them.
