Friends, Kesari 2 is not just a film, but an attempt to bring history on screen – the history that we read in books but never felt.
This time there is no motivational patriotic song, no more drama – it is a brutal and real courtroom drama that will shake you.
The film starts with a scene that will stun you – the Jallianwala Bagh incident, and then the story moves towards the character who defeated the British with their own system – Sir C. Shankaran Nair.
🎭 Akshay Kumar has returned in this film as the old “Content Kumar”. His power is visible in every dialogue, every scene. And brother, his entry scene is worth watching – there is the whistle bajao moment.
On the other hand, R Madhavan speaks less but when he speaks, the screen stops. His facial expressions and dialogue delivery increase the suspense and courtroom tension of the film.

🎬 This film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, who himself is a real life lawyer – and perhaps this is the reason why not a single scene in the entire film seems redundant. It feels as if you are sitting in the courtroom and watching this case.
🎵 Now talking about the music of the film, an emotional song like “Teri Mitti” has again been placed at the right time. Yes, the BGM may seem louder than the dialogues at some places but perhaps that could also be an issue of print or sound quality of the theater.
👎 What are the drawbacks?
- Ananya Panday has performed surprisingly well, but if some other mature actor was in her place, the impact would have been more.
- The Jallianwala Bagh scenes have been a bit ignored in the second half.
But boss… you can’t degrade the message and presentation of this film by getting caught up in these small things.
✅ Highlights:
- Solid screenplay
- Real twists and turns
- Brutal, no-nonsense presentation
- Powerful dialogues
- Akshay Kumar’s lion-like comeback
- R Madhavan’s strong impact
- Director’s vision that wins hearts

📢 Those who thought that “Kesari 2 is made only for the sake of Kesari” – they must have changed their opinion by the time they came out of the theatre. This film should not go in the list of misunderstood masterpieces like OMG 2. This time the public will have to go to the theatre.
🎖 4.5 stars out of 5 from me – not only for the acting of the actors, but for the truth that Bollywood has dared to show.
What are you thinking now?
Pick up the phone, book your tickets and watch the biggest courtroom face-off in history in theatres.
Akshay Kumar is back – and this time not just for entertainment, but with a true message.
